May Meeting: Usability Testing Workshop
Hi Austin UPA members!
You’ve been asking for it, and we’ve listened! This meeting will be a hands-on workshop of how to conduct a 1-on-1 performance based moderated usability test. If you’ve ever wondered how to set-up and run a moderated usability test, or how usability testing works, this is your chance! We will conduct an example usability test for you to watch, explaining how it works and what to do (or not do).
After that it will be YOUR turn! We will divide you and your fellow members into groups and let you do your own practice usability test. If possible, make sure you bring your laptop with wireless so you have access to a website.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- What is a 1-on-1 moderated Usability test?
- How do you set up a moderated usability test?
- Who do you test?
- How do you run a moderated test?
- What do you do with test results?
This is a great session for beginners or advance usability practitioners alike. Improving moderated usability testing is the easiest and fastest way to gather user feedback that can directly be used to improve performance of any website or application.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to get hands-on with usability testing!
